The La Crosse Area Community Foundation is the home to Bubba’s Fund Donor Advised Fund. This partnership empowers us to immediately begin fulfilling our mission: improving the safety, opportunity, and wellbeing of children.

Rooted in La Crosse, Wisconsin, our project-based approach begins with a vital, urgent goal—placing life-saving AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in every state-licensed child care facility in the city.

This is just the start. As Bubba’s Fund grows, so will our reach and impact.

Projects & Impacts

  • Every minute counts. We're placing AEDs in local daycare centers and early childhood spaces, starting with the most underserved. Lives are already safer because of Charlie.

  • We will strides to ensure that all Wisconsin state licensed childcare staff are adequately trained in AED administration.

  • PulsePoint Respond is a 911-connected app that alerts CPR-trained citizens of cardiac arrest events nearby and directs them to AEDs.

  • Youth deserve the opportunity to participate in athletic programs and camps. This effort will grant access to these programs to those who need it most.

  • The development of specific programs and resources may be compiled and easily accessible to families that experience sudden loss of a child.

The focus of our fundraising and partnership efforts will first be on AED installation at all Wisconsin State Licensed Childcare Facilities in the city of
La Crosse, Wisconsin. 

The path forward will benefit the lives of children and those that support children.
