-
UWL Athletics Department
UWL Athletics has played an integral role in the heart and soul of Bubba’s Fund. From day one, the department — and especially the Women’s Basketball program — has helped transform grief into purpose. Players, coaches, and families have poured their love into honoring Charlie as “Bubba’s Sixth Man,” a symbol of strength, perseverance, and team unity.
Annual events like Bubba’s Night not only raise awareness and funds, but also connect the mission of Bubba’s Fund to the larger athletic and campus community. These student-athletes don’t just compete — they lead, they serve, and they remember. Their dedication is a living tribute to Charlie’s joy and a powerful engine for the work ahead.Description goes here
