What’s Happening Right Now

We’re officially live. Bubba’s Fund was born out of love and loss—and now it’s transforming into a community-powered movement to protect children and honor Charlie Lonning Weber.

Right now:

  • Over 40 childcare centers in La Crosse are lined up to receive AEDs

  • A pledge drive is preparing to launch with grassroots organizers ready to raise contributions for Bubba’s Fund

  • We’re working with partners in La Crosse and across the state to expand AED access and awareness

And it’s all building toward our launch night on August 27 at the Rivoli Theatre—a powerful blend of storytelling, music, and community.

We’re submitting an official petition to the Mayor of La Crosse, asking him to proclaim August 27 as For Charlie. For Children. Day in honor of Charlie, Bubba’s Fund and all the children we hope to protect.

Your job: Raise contributions for Bubba’s Fund from friends, family, or coworkers.

We’ll give you everything you need:

  • Optional printable materials

  • Tiered rewards (stickers, shirts, hats, and more)

Top organizers will be recognized at the our Benefit for Bubba’s Fund event and on social media. Full details to come.

Pickup will be available at the Rivoli Theatre on August 27, or we’re happy to ship it to you.

After covering printing and production costs, all remaining proceeds will go directly to helping us fulfill our primary action items of placing AEDs in state-licensed childcare centers and providing access to sports to children in need.
